What is your theological background?
 

I have a Masters in Christian Ministry from  Friends University in Wichita, Kansas and Doctoral Studies, including Certification of Pastoral Counseling from Sancta Sophia Seminary, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  My ordination dates from 1997.

How long have you been performing weddings?

I performed my first wedding in 2003, in response to a young couple's search for a Justice of the Peace in Wichita.

Since Kansas has none, I offered to officiate as an Independent Ordained Minister. Happily, I learned that the bride's mother was a high school classmate of mine! We had a very enjoyable reunion, and a lovely home-based wedding ceremony in June, 2003. That makes 2022 my 19th year as a Wedding Officiant!

What do you like BEST about weddings?

I love sharing with all attending my belief that the wedding couple is sealing their "Wedding Process" with their presence and vows at their wedding.

I believe that happy marriages continue to grow and even evolve through the years of experiences and shared truths of both along with their families. From simple to very ornate, weddings express our life-commitments and connections to all.
